Stokke was founded in 1932 in Alesund, on the west coast of Norway, and is now led by CEO Anton van de Putte. Stokke is known worldwide for the sale and worldwide distribution of products for children such as strollers, high chairs, car seats.
In the beginning, when Stokke was founded in 1932, it was involved in the production of bus seats and armchairs. The first collection consisted of armchairs, ergonomic seats for the office and the home. The first product for children was launched in 1972, the iconic Tripp Trapp highchair designed by Peter Opsvik. The first stroller was launched in 2003, the innovative Stokke Xplory.
Since 2006 Stokke has focused exclusively on products for children, continuing a long tradition of designing increasingly innovative highchairs and strollers, up to today, a brand known all over the world.
